humor assignment essay and reflection

Public school has and always will be archenemies with Private schools. From my stand point, (Natalie), who has been to a public school then gone into a private school, they do not blend well together. I found that it’s because the public school people do not like stuck up snobby rich people witch is a stereotype to private schools. My friends from public school told me that they are just jealous and totally think that their school (Argyle) is way better than Collingwood. I begged to differ. We am not trying to rant about public schools, I think that they are not much different than private schools, it just depends on what public school you go to. Of course there are differences, but we are all normal students, different from each other and how we learn and in this project we will be showing you a humorous parody of that makes fun of or relates to public and private school students. Our video will show all of this in a comedy of ideas and comedy of manners type of humor, I think it is funny because we are trying to exaggerate what we say in our video and make fun of students and their reactions. In our video we are trying to make public school students look bad by exaggerating everything but we don’t actually think that they are bad students that like to dropout, we know that students from public and private are all normal but we have our differences but in our movie we do the exact opposite to enhance the trait of satire.

Creating a humorous video was quite challenging. Challenging in the way that we had to think about what types of things private and public schoolers say.  Natalie has been a public schooler “but that way back in grade 7 which may not seem like a long time ago, but it is hard to remember what we said” says Natalie. We did enjoy the acting, however it did take a lot of editing and redoing to get it perfect. It is very hard to make something humorous and funny, we had lots of fun editing, and making up all the “funny” things we had to day that could relate to our humorous topic. When we first learned about this topic, Natalie and I thought that it was really easy stuff and just straight up funny and we did not know how hard it is to make someone laugh and all the types of humor there are. Overall we loved creating our humorous project and we hope that you all have enjoyed it and found it to be a little funny.

Third satire

A life under water, it is o normal for a crab to own a restaurant under the sea, a sponge talking to their weird looking faced fishes and a squirrel who lives in a glass bubble, that's  just everyday life underwater! the songe bob  square pants TV show is an example of incongriency, its all made up, exaggerated and not what we expect.
Chicken nuggets, jelly, and ice scream at the last supper, "Jesus scientists at Jesus College, Cambridge, have been studying Jesus for Christ knows how long, and have uncovered some remarkable new facts about his Last Supper." this article of The Spoof is also an example of in congruency, we expected bread, chicken, wine but apparently they had  "breaded nuggets by the thousand".

second satire

are you addicted to Facebook?

Are you addicted to real relationships? don't you love just getting away from that house, going to talk to real people instead of sitting on that chair all day long "meeting people" and liking comments and pictures. of course if your addicted to Facebook its not like its gonna have impact on you, its only gonna make you better !

You can post ant types of pictures on it and nobody will comment or say judgmental things about it so don't worry, nothing happens on Facebook, your safe and you don't have worry about stalkers.

If your addicted to Facebook, it is not a bad thing, it wont affect your life in any way, it is just a way of living!
